Berhampur: Promoting green energy and sustainable living, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has introduced a certificate course titled ‘Household Solar Champions’ to equip youth with essential skills in solar energy solutions.
The inaugural session was conducted at Nalabanta Old Panchayat Bhavan in Aska, Ganjam.
This initiative provides hands-on training by our project partner – PRATHAM for repair and maintenance of solar-powered systems, enabling young individuals to become a skilled workforce to support renewable energy adoption at the grassroots level. The first batch consists of 20 students who will receive training in domestic solar system installation and maintenance. By nurturing expertise in solar energy, the program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in advancing affordable and clean energy.
The launch event was attended by key dignitaries, including TPSODL official’s, Jagatjit Das Mohapatra, Executive Engineer, Aska Division-1, Santosh Kumar Pradhan, Assistant Executive Engineer, Sarpanch of Nalabanta – K C Pradhan along with CSR team. Through this initiative, TPSODL continues its commitment to sustainable energy solutions while creating new opportunities for youth empowerment in Southern Odisha.
