Bhubaneswar: In expectation of huge gathering of devotees during the Ekamra Bhumi Pujan at Lingaraj Temple in Old Town of Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police on Saturday issued a traffic advisory.
As per the advisory issued by Saumyendra Priyadarshi, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, the traffic regulations will be enforced during the Bhumi Pujan ceremony from June 26 to 28. It is meant to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic, non-congestion and non-hindrance to pedestrians.
The Commissioner has warned that the order has been passed in the larger interest of public safety and its violation can lead to a fine from Rs 500 to Rs 1000.
