Bhubaneswar: A four-year-old girl died in an ambulance that was stuck in a traffic jam created by protests by various groups near Lower PMG square here on Tuesday.
According to sources, the girl was being rushed to Nilachal Hospital from Satya Nagar housing board colony, when they met with a traffic jam on Janpath. The helpless family members were seen requesting vehicles to give them way with folded hands. The driver took a detour via hotel Swosti Grand to avoid the congestion on Janpath, but the situation became even worse. Eventually, the girl died in the ambulance before reaching the hospital.
The girl had fallen into a water tank on Monday, the sources added.
