Bhubaneswar: Dense fog engulfed the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, dropping visibility and affecting communication, on Thursday morning.
According to sources, commuters were seen driving their vehicles cautiously as visibility got reduced to as low as 20-30 metres at some places in these cities under the foggy conditions,
On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Centre here had predicted shallow to moderate fog at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Dhenkanal this morning. Similar foggy conditions may occur at one or two places in Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khorda, Puri, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and Jajpur in the next 24 hours.
