Deogarh: Vehicular movement between Sambalpur and Deogarh district has been disrupted with an approach road caving in near Patnagarh bridge in Deogarh district late on Sunday.
Hundreds of heavy vehicles were seen stranded on either side of the road for several hours. The movement of two-wheelers, however, was partially affected.
The authorities concerned have started the operation for repairing the road and restoring vehicular movement on the busy route.
Though the reason behind the road collapse is yet to be ascertained, locals attributed it to heavy rainfall since last afternoon.
