Bhubaneswar: Twin city police commissioner Y B Khurania handed over body-worn and dashboard cameras to traffic personnel posted at Traffic police station,AG Square, here on Saturday.
“Those engaged in traffic management in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will be wearing body cameras on their chest to keep an eye on the traffic violators. These cameras will be connected to the vehicles of assistant commissioner of police (ACP) and two inspectors to record the audio and video clips of the violators for more than four hours a day,” Khurania said.
According to a senior police officer, around 240 body and 16 dashboard cameras were distributed to the traffic personnel in the first phase.
