Bhubaneswar: With Independence Day round the corner, the Commissionerate Police has imposed traffic restrictions in Odisha’s capital city ahead of state-level celebration on August 15.
The restrictions will be effective on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and its periphery in Bhubaneswar for the August 15 celebration, and also for the rehearsal and full dress rehearsal prior to the event.
Commissionerate Police has issued a notice stating that traffic restrictions will be effective on the Mahatma Gandhi Marg and its periphery from 2 pm to 6 pm on August 11 and 12 for rehearsal of Independence Day parade.
On August 13, vehicular traffic on Mahatma Gandhi Marg will be restricted from 7 am to 11.30 am for full dress rehearsal for the I-Day function.
As for August 15, traffic restrictions will be effective from 6 am till completion of the I-Day parade.
