New Delhi: Popular across the globe, UK’s bestselling single ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by the band Queen will soon hit the screen, showing us the story behind this album and the song. The trailer of this much-anticipated biopic on Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, was released on Tuesday.
American actor Rami Malek is playing Freddie in this movie. The trailer begins with him chanting to his audience through a montage of live shows and the scenes start switching between concerts and band at the studio. While on the background, Queen’s popular classics like ‘Another One Bites The Dust’, ‘Killer Queen’ and the anthem ‘We Will Rock You’ plays adding to the excitement.
The trailer has already garnered over five million views on YouTube.
Malek looks all the more charming in his flamboyant costumes that Freddie was known for. Extra points for carrying off that personality so well. One of the most amazing scenes, though, is of famous 1985 Live Aid concerts which Brian May, lead guitarist of Queen, claims was “the greatest day of our lives.”
This biopic was first announced in 2010, produced by Brian and Queen drummer Roger Taylor. However, fans had to wait for eight years to finally witness the grand movie. Freddie died in 1991, but still counted among the most-celebrated artists.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ will release on November 2.
