New Delhi: India’s fastest train, Train 18 is set to run as New Delhi – Varanasi Vande Bharat Express from February 15. An AC chair car ticket will cost Rs 1850 and in executive class, it will cost Rs 3520 between New Delhi and Varanasi, says a PTI report.
The semi-high speed train tickets are priced 1.5 times higher than Shatabdi trains. The executive class is priced 1.4 times higher than first class coaches in premium trains.
Food will be priced differently for chair car and executive class tickets. In chair car, passengers will have to pay Rs 344 for morning tea, breakfast and lunch, while in executive class, they will have to pay Rs 399.
Twitterati has alleged that Railway Minister Piyush Goyal’s video on Train 18’s speed has been doctored. The Indian National Congress has posted two side by side videos stating that the Minister’s video is in fast forward mode.
