Keonjhar: The engine of a goods train caught fire near Barbil railway station in the district on Thursday.
According to sources, while the train was on the way to Balani siding, the loco pilot saw the smoke coming out of the engine and stop the train. He also alerted the officials of the railway station.
On being informed, Fire personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
While there has been no harm to anybody in the incident, the reason of the fire has not been ascertained. The details are awaited.
