Train Engine Derails Near Khurda Road

Bhubaneswar: The engine of a train derailed near Khurda road junction railway station here on Monday evening. No injury has been reported so far.

The mishap took place when the train was heading towards Khurda road workshop. Though the exact reason is yet to be ascertained, the derailment could have taken place due to a possible technical glitch.

Following the incident, the railway officials rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. The authorities have begun investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, rail traffic on the track was resumed after one-hour disruption.
