Rayagada/Jeypore: Train services were disrupted in Rayagada and Koraput districts after overhead electric wires snapped and fell on tracks between Bhalumuska and Liliguma railway stations on Monday morning.
The incident took place at around 7:30 am.
Owing to the mishap, trains were halted at different places. However, no injury or casualty has been reported from anywhere in these two districts.
While Vishakhapatnam-Koraput DEMU was stopped at Tikri railway station and Rourkela Express at Bhalumuska.
Similarly, Bhubaneswar-bound Hirakud Express was halted at Sikarapai.
Train services resumed more than three hours later following restoration work that was carried by a team of technical staff of the Railways.
