Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated 10 schools in Hinjilicut tehsil of Ganjam district under school transformation programme of the state government’s 5T initiative.
At the inaugural function, organised on virtual mode, the chief minister said the newly developed schools with modern infrastructure will fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the students in all fields of activities. The programme, which has been started in 50 schools of Hinjilicut, will be extended to 1070 schools across the state, he said.
He ascribed the success of the programme to 5Ts – Technology, Teamwork, Time, Transparency and Transformation. While the ‘Technology’ has provided smart classroom, e-Library, computer and modern laboratory, the ‘Teamwork’ has involved school authorities, panchayat representatives, students and parents, he added.
On the ‘Transparency’, he said the transformation of the schools has been possible due to involvement of the people in various aspects from vision document to expenses.
Several Cabinet ministers, 20 MLAs, chief secretary, collectors of different districts, panchayat representatives, old students of the schools, and parents were present on the occasion. 5T secretary VK Pandian coordinated the programme.
