New Delhi: If you are a traveller, who books a lot of last minute tickets, this is probably for you. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has changed a few rules while booking a Tatkal ticket, which we break down in a five simple steps.
1. Tatkal tickets need to be booked one day prior to the travel. While for AC Tatkal tickets, the booking will start from 10 am, the timing is 11am for non-AC ticket.
2. The passenger can claim full fare refund and tatkal charges, if the train is more than three hours late.
3. In case of diversion of train routes, the passenger can claim full refund if he doesn’t prefer travelling on that route.
4. In case of diversion, if the boarding or destination station, or both are not present on the diverted route, the passenger can claim a refund.
