The directive has been issued to ensure safety of passengers. They are

# Avoid travelling on footboard, buffers and rooftop of the train.

# Don’t accept food and drinking items from the strangers

ECoR has also urged the passengers and voluntary organisations to take special care of co-passengers and counsel those found leaning from the running trains, travelling on rooftop, footboard and buffers of the train and carrying inflammable items.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff have also been advised to take special measures for crowd control and keep a watch on touts and anti-socials particularly in crowded areas like booking and PRS counters, enquiry counters, tourist complex and Mela Shed.

ECoR had arranged exclusive passenger amenities for the convenience of the passengers. It had also urged the pilgrims and passengers to use mobile app like UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) App, Mobile Rath Yatra App ECOR Yatra for all the information by Railways and to book unreserved journey tickets by avoiding rush at ticket counters.

To report cases of passenger’s security and unsavoury situation during train journey, it had launched Railway Security Helpline ‘182’, which is functional round-the-clock.
