Kendrapada: The Indian Coast Guard has rescued the fishermen from Odisha after their trawler sank in the Bay of Bengal on Thursday evening. Thirteen fishermen were onboard.
There are, however, conflicting reports of the number of fishermen rescued. While one report said that all 13 fishermen have been rescued, another report said 12 have been rescued with one still missing.
The fishermen from Talchua village in Kendrapada district had ventured into the sea on Thursday morning. The Coast Guard and Marine police had launched a search for the fishermen after their trawler sank in the deep sea.
