Tribal Students Excel Again As KISS Posts 98% Result In Odisha Board’s Class X Exams

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has recorded a whopping 98 per cent pass percentage in the Class X examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.

A total of 1916 students from the school wing of the Institute appeared for the examination — the maximum in the country from a single school. The tribal institute saw over 350 students securing 60% and more marks, with girls outshining boys in general.

Primitive tribe student Jogesh Kadraka from Raygada was the school topper, getting 90% marks, while Devraj Majhi also secured 90% with 99 in Mathematics.

It’s been 21 years, since 2000, that KISS students have achieved nearly 100% pass results in the Class X Board examination. Around 400 students belonging to primitive tribes like Juang, Didai, Kharia, Lodha, Langia Saura and Bonda were among those who were successful in in this year’s examination.

KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta said the continued success of KISS students year after year has been possible due to the blessings of God, continuous effort of teachers, staff and hard work of the students.
