Mumbai: In a fitting tribute to one of Bollywood’s greatest filmmakers, a docu-series on Yash Chopra is set to be streamed on an OTT platform.
Netflix on Tuesday released the first look of docu-series titled ‘The Romantics’, the trailer of which will be released on February 1.
“Time to fall in love with the ones who taught an entire generation how to #TheRomantics trailer comes out tomorrow! @SmritiMundhra @yrf,” Netflix tweeted along with a poster.
‘The Romantics’, directed by Smriti Mundhra of ‘Indian Matchmaking’ fame, will start streaming on Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2023).
Among Bollywood classics directed by the late Chopra are ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Waqt’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Darr’, ‘Dilo To Pagal Hai’, Veer Zaara’.
The docu-series will feature 35 leading voices of Hindi cinema, including stars who have been closely associated with Yash Raj Films which Chopra founded.
“The gripping documentary series is the real and definitive story of Yash Chopra and his son Aditya Chopra’s journey to building a world class studio and will give our viewers a glimpse into the lives of one of the most influential families in Bollywood film history,” Netflix India’s VP Content Monika Shergill stated.
