Trolley Bag With Man’s Body Found In Odisha’s Khurda

Khurda: In a rare criminal case in the state, the body of an unidentified man was found in a trolley bag in a forest in Odisha’s Khurda district on Sunday.

According to sources, some locals spotted the trolley bag in Haripur forest under Nachuni police limits in the district. On opening the bag, they found a dead man inside it and informed the police.

A police team including Balugaon sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) along with a scientific team went to the spot and seized the body and the bag. In order to identify the dead man, the police made enquiry with the locals. But the locals said the deceased did not belong to the area, the sources said.

During search in the forest, the police team found some empty liquor bottles and glasses near the body. Since no weapon was found from the spot, the police suspected that the man might have been killed in some other place and the accused dumped the body in the forest to escape suspicion, police sources said.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
