Bhubaneswar: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday sought further custody of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and the two others – Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha – for nine more days in the drugs-on-cruise case.
Aryan, model Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz were remanded to a day’s NCB custody by the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RK Rajebhosale on Sunday.
A Mumbai court is currently hearing Aryan’s bail plea.
Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for NCB, told the court that the trio has been booked under Sections 8C, 20, 27,& 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (DPS), 1985. Five more persons have been arrested in the drug case, he said.
“You (referring to accused) are in touch with drug people, so you are not innocent. We want to know who is financing the whole racket or who the source is,” he said.

“We need custody of the three accused to verify facts and their links. In a society, youngsters are worst affected by the drug menace. We have also intercepted the party organisers,” Singh added.
Aryan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde argued that no substance was seized from his client which is in contravention of NDPS ACT. “If any substance is seized from any other persons (co-accused) that don’t make any grounds to take my client into custody,” he added.
