Balangir: A truck carrying grocery items was gutted near Khamarmunda on NH-26 in the district on Wednesday morning.
Sources said the truck was on the way to Balangir town from Chhattisgarh when the front tyre burst. It led to a short circuit and the oil tanker caught fire.
However, the driver and the helper jumped out the vehicle and informed the police. Following information, the Sadar Police rushed to the spot with a fire brigade team. By the time the Fire Services personnel doused the fire, the truck was completely gutted.
