Truck Driver & Biker Killed In Separate Road Mishaps In Odisha’s 2 Districts

Bhubaneswar: A truck driver and a biker were killed in separate road accidents in Odisha’s Balasore and Rayagada districts on Tuesday.

As per reports, in one incident, a heavily loaded truck going on National Highway 16 crashed into another truck after the first vehicle’s driver lost control near Santoshpur Chhak in Balasore. The driver of the loaded truck died on the spot.

On being informed, police went to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Though the cause of the accident has not been ascertained, it is suspected from preliminary investigation that the driver was going on high speed and collided with the other vehicle after losing control over the steering.

In the second accident, three persons going on a motorcycle collided with a truck in Laxmipur area under Kalyansinghpur block of Rayagada district.

One of them died on the spot and two others sustained critical injuries in the accident. The locals rushed the injured to the Community Health Centre (CHC). The police have registered a case and started investigation.
