Keonjhar: Driver of a truck was charred to death inside the vehicle as it caught fire after hitting another truck on NH-49 near Mahuldiha village in Odisha’s Keonjhar district early on Friday.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, the accident took place when the aluminum-laden truck rammed into another 10-wheeler, carrying iron sheets, around 4 am. Soon, the truck caught fire and the driver was burnt alive.
On being informed, Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames. Police have seized the two trucks, both of which were heading to Kolkata, and started an investigation.
