Angul: A truck driver got stuck inside a vehicle for two hours following a head-on collision with another truck near Kalabeda village under Kishore Nagar police limits of Angul district on NH-55 on Friday.
Sources said the incident took place when the coal-laden truck was on its way to Angul from Sambalpur on Friday morning. The truck collided head-on with an onion-laden truck, following which the driver of the second trick got stuck inside for near two hours.
On being informed, the police and fire department personnel reached the spot and rescued the driver. Hundreds of vehicles remained stranded on both sides of the highway because of the accident.
