Bargarh: Two girl students of Larambha College were killed while another was critically injured after being run over by a truck near Kadobahal Chhak in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Monday.
According to sources, the accident took place while the girls were on their way to college on bicycles this morning. The truck coming from the opposite direction rammed into the girls and overturned at the spot, crushing the three, as the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Locals rescued the three girls and rushed them to a nearby hospital. They were later shifted to VIMSAR as their condition deteriorated. However, two among them succumbed to the injuries during treatment.
Police have seized the vehicle and started an investigation.
