Bhadrak: A coal-laden truck ran over the leg of a police constable at Basudevpur in Bhadrak district at around 4.30 am on Sunday.
The injured, Digambar Panigrahi, has been admitted to district headquarters hospital.
According to sources, the incident took place when the constable tried to intercept the truck, carrying coal illegally.
The vehicle has been seized and the driver detained, the sources added.
