Washington: US President Donald Trump has honoured a 10-year-old Indo-American girl, Sravya Annapareddy, for being benevolent and spreading goodwill during the coronavirus crisis.
Sravya and two other girl scouts from Maryland, Laila Khan and Lauren Matney, have donated 100 boxes of cookies to nurses and firefighters along with 200 handmade greeting cards to healthcare workers.
Trump and First Lady Melania Trump honoured many other such heroes who are helping all those fighting the coronavirus crisis head-on at a special function on Friday.
“The men and women we honour today remind us that the bonds that unite us in times of hardship can also raise us to new heights as we reopen and recover and rebuild,” Trump was quoted as saying by the Washington Times.
