Bhubaneswar: The Talcher Thermal Power Station (TTPS) in Angul district, one of the coal-based plants of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), will have a new power unit soon.
Briefing the media after a meeting with NTPC chairman Gurdeep Singh on Wednesday, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra said that a meeting will soon be convened with Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO), NTPC, state Energy department and the line departments.
He informed that a work plan will be prepared for the redressal of grievances of people living in the TTPS periphery.
The Chief Secretary assured that the state government will provide all possible assistance to the NTPC to expedite the construction of the new power unit of the TTPS.
