Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut never misses out an opportunity to make herself heard on burning issues in the country. And more often than not, her comments trigger controversies.

In her latest post on social media, in the wake of TV actress Tunisha Sharma’s suicide, Kangana has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to frame laws to safeguard women against polygamy and acid attacks.

The Bollywood actor-producer hit out against incidents like Tunisha’s suicide through a long note on Instagram Stories.

Using the hashtag ‘Tunisha Sharma’, Kangana wrote: “A woman can cope with everything, loss of love, marriage, relationship or even a loved one but she can never deal with the fact that her love story never had love, for the other person her love and vulnerability was just an easy target for exploitation, her reality was not the same as the other person who was in it only to use and abuse her physically and emotionally.”

Referring to Tunisha’s case, where her mother has accused the actor’s ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan of cheating her and forcing her to commit suicide, Kangana termed the situation as ‘murder’.

“She can’t trust her own perception in such a state one feels no difference in being alive or dead after all life is just our perception and if she decides to end her life… please know she didn’t do it alone… it’s a murder.”

“I request honourable Prime minister @narendramodi ji… Like Krishna rose for Draupadi like Ram took a stand for Sita, we expect you to make strong laws against polygamy without consent, acid attacks against women and of course chopping them into many pieces should amount to immediate death sentence without trial,” Kangana wrote.

Tunisha and co-star Sheezan reportedly broke up a couple of weeks before her death. Sheezan, arrested on charges of abetment to suicide, has been remanded to police custody for four days as he’s being questioned.
