TV Actor Sameer Sharma Of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ Fame Commits Suicide

Mumbai: In yet another unnatural death in the entertainment industry, television actor Sameer Sharma allegedly died by suicide at his home in suburban Malad, NDTV reported the police as saying on Thursday.

Sharma, 44, who had worked in serials like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ and ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyar Ke’, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the kitchen of his flat at Neha building in Chincholi Bunder locality in Malad (West) on Wednesday night, a police officer said, the report added.

Other media reports quoted Malad police station’s senior inspector George Fernandes as saying that no suicide note was found at the spot and it is suspected he hanged himself two days back. The building’s watchman peeped through the kitchen window, saw him hanging, and alerted the other society members.

The actor was living alone in the rented flat since February and the police were trying to get in touch with his family members, reports added.

An Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered and further investigation is underway, said Fernandes in the report.
