Bhubaneswar: While the city denizens were celebrating New Year’s Eve on Tuesday night, police braved the chilling winter night out on the streets keeping vigil to avoid any unpleasant situation and ensure safety of party revellers.
To boost their morale, Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi shared a tea break with some patrolling policemen in the Odisha capital.
Sarangi took to Twitter to share a few pictures and wrote, “Went around Bhubaneswar sharing tea with our staff on duty for the Zero Night celebration. Morale is high & commitment unflinching. My gratitude to all our officers. Have wished all of them a Happy New Year over Police Radio. We will be on duty till people return home safe.”
