India’s star para-shuttler Pramod Bhagat bagged two gold medals at China Para-Badminton International 2019, which concluded on Sunday.
The Odisha-born World Champion defeated Daniel Bethell of England in the singles 19-21, 21-13 and 21-14 to clinch the yellow metal. Paired with Manoj Sarkar, he then trounced another Indian pair of Vikram Kumar and Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj 18-21, 21-16 and 21-15 in the doubles to seal the top slot.
The championship was held at Hangzhou in China from September 24 to 29.
Bhagat was recently conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award. He is a native of Attabira in Bargarh district.
