Bhubaneswar: Twitter has finally launched its premium subscription Twitter Blue in India and the service is available for Rs 900 per month on both Android and iOS.
The subscription on the web costs less at Rs 650 per month. If users chose an annual plan, it will cost Rs 566.7 per month. Twitter, however, is calling it a limited-time offer, which means that the Elon Musk-owned platform could revise the price in future.
How to subscribe
On Twitter, click on ‘Twitter Blue’ on the left side of the screen. A pop-up will then give you the option to purchase your preferred plan. The annual plan will be accessible only via the website.
On Android and iOS, open the app and swipe right to access the menu, leading to the ‘Twitter Blue’ option.
If your account has been inactive for the last 30 days or more, you will not be able to purchase a Twitter Blue subscription.

Besides, priority in replies, mentions, and search, the users will receive 50 per cent fewer ads in the home timeline.
With this launch, Twitter Blue is now available in 15 markets including the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia among others, since its relaunch in December 2022. The service was initially launched in select markets in November last year, only to be retracted after a string of dubious accounts got verified in exchange for money.
