Two Accused In Bhubaneswar Zero Night Murder Surrender

Bhubaneswar: Vicky Malia and Sujit Malia, the two accused in the murder of Dipu Rout at Sundarpada in Odisha capital, surrendered before the SDJM court here on Wednesday.

According to sources, the Airfield police, which had registered a case against three persons, are likely to take both the accused on remand.

Notably, Dipu Rout was hacked to death on Zero Night following a heated exchange with a group of locals. The deceased, along with two of his friends, was partying near a pond at Nuasahi when another group of party revellers confronted them. Rout and one of his friends sustained serious injuries after being attacked with sharp weapons. They were taken to the hospital where Rout succumbed to his injuries.
