Dhenkanal: Two people were arrested and a huge cache of explosives seized from them in Dhenkanal district on Monday.
According to police sources, the raids were carried out by team of Rasol police at Sarapa and Mania villages in the district and 3.5 quintal ammonium nitrate, 1,200 detonators and 4, 000 gelatin sticks seized. Two persons, identified as Pabitra Behera and Sadananda Dalei, were arrested in this connection.
In a similar incident, five looters were arrested during simultaneous raids by Commissionerate Police at different places in Bhubaneswar. A total of 40 expensive cell phones were recovered from their possession.
