Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday arrested two accused in the murder of a 70-year-old woman at Nayapalli in the city in July last year.
The accused were identified as Sagar Pradhan and Satya Narayan Mohanty.
Notably, the accused had barged into the house of one Tulasi Dei at N-4 block in IRC village under Nayapalli police limits on July 26, 2020. Finding her alone in the house, they then started looting gold ornaments including earrings. When the elderly woman tried to resist, they stabbed her.
The critically injured woman was rushed to a private hospital. But she succumbed to her injuries on August 1.
