Nabarangpur: Police on Tuesday arrested two youths for allegedly raping and murdering a minor girl under Tentulikhunti police limits.
The accused were identified as Alekha Majhi (20) and Paramananda Bisari (24). According to sources, the duo confessed to have raped the minor girl and subsequently throttled her to death.
The matter come to the fore after the mutilated body of the victim was found near a bush behind a school under Tentulikhunti police limits last week.
The 10-year-old girl, who hailed from Kantagaon panchayat, had gone out to relieve herself in the evening hours of September 17 (Tuesday). However, she did not return home.
