Balasore: Two persons, who were selling fake forms for the KALIA scheme to farmers were arrested on the direction of the Balasore Collector on Wednesday.
Akshya Maharana, owner of a photo studio owner in Makhanpur Panchayat of Khaira block had sold duplicate forms outside the Panchayat office for Rs 50 each. Similarly, in Madhupura Panchayat of Baliapal, the owner of a Xerox machine shop, Sushant Parmanik had sold duplicate forms for Rs 10 each. A video showing him selling the form went viral on social media.
After verifying the details, we gave directed the concerned BDO of Khaira and Baliapal block to lodge an FIR against the culprits Sushant Parmanik and Akshya Maharana, said Ramesh Chandra Rout, Collector of Balasore.
