Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri police here on Monday arrested two persons in connection with the firing incident, in which a youth sustained bullet injuries on his leg, at Sijua on the outskirts of the city the previous night.
They were identified as Bhimsen Nayak and Ashok Behera. Police seized the pistol and the motorcycle used in the crime. A gold chain was also recovered from them.
A total of 15 cases are pending against the criminals at different police stations, police sources said.
On Sunday, the accused fired on a youth at Sijua near Khandagiri when he resisted a chain snatching attempt on his wife, the sources added.
