Two More Associates Of Gangster Tito Nabbed

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch on Monday arrested two more associates of gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito.

The duo were identified as Alok Mallick and Deepak Swain.

Both were picked up by a team of the STF from Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district.

According to sources, the two had attended a meeting with the gangster at Goa to plot some criminal activities.

Apart from these persons, 14 others have already been arrested for their alleged links with Tito.

On the other hand, the Crime Branch took Tito on a fresh remand of four days from today for further interrogation with regard to business and criminal links.

On Saturday, Paradip Nirakar Dumper Association president Bapu Parida, a key associate of Tito, was arrested for unlawful possession of weapons and extortion.

More than 28 cases are pending against him at different police stations in the state.

The STF had interrogated Bapu several times in the past for his alleged involvement in expanding Tito’s crime network.

On Friday, Bhabani Shankar Sahoo alias Babu Sahoo, a close associate of Tito, was sent to Barimul jail after the Kendrapara SDJM court rejected his bail plea.

He was arrested during an encounter with police on Ichhapur-Chagaria Road in Kendrapara district on July 24.
