In Balasore, locals spotted a badly mutilated bare body of a woman lying on the busy National Highway-16 near Dahisada panchayat office in Soro area and immediately alerted the police.
Police, which rushed to the spot along with a scientific team, are yet to ascertain the woman’s identity.

Similarly, naked body of a woman aged between 30 and 40 years was recovered with injury marks from near an ashram on Ralaba Road under Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district.
Police and locals suspect that the woman was raped and then murdered, some two or three days back.
