Two Bare Mutilated Bodies Of Women Found In Odisha; Rape-Murder Suspected

Balasore/Berhampur: Recovery of bare mutilated bodies of two women on Tuesday morning has sent shock waves among locals of Balasore and Ganjam districts.

In Balasore, locals spotted a badly mutilated bare body of a woman lying on the busy National Highway-16 near Dahisada panchayat office in Soro area and immediately alerted the police.

Police, which rushed to the spot along with a scientific team, are yet to ascertain the woman’s identity.

Although the reason behind the death of the woman is yet to be known, preliminary inquiry suggested rape and murder, a police officer informed.

Similarly, naked body of a woman aged between 30  and 40 years was recovered with injury marks from near an ashram on Ralaba Road under Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district.

Police and locals suspect that the woman was raped and then murdered, some two or three days back.
