Nabarangpur: Two boys died after falling into a well at Bada Kumuli village of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Saturday.
According to sources, Laxman Harijan’s nine-year-old son Prabhat Harijan and Buna Harijan’s 12-year-old son Jayanta Harijan fell into the well while playing in the field in the evening.
Their friend rushed to the village to inform the families about the incident. Although the village sarpanch informed the Fire Service department, the villagers managed to rescue both the children and admitted them to the Nabarangpur District Hospital where they were declared dead.
Earlier, on August 11, two minor girls had drowned in a pond at Maliguda village in Nabarangpur district.
The girls, aged five and three, had gone to the pond to take a bath and slipped deep into the water.
