The deceased have been identified as Narayan Giri and Madhusudan Giri.
Sources said, one Durgashankar Das, the owner of a piece of land, attacked the duo with a sharp weapon after a verbal duel ensued over the transfer of a land.
Irked over the incident, a group of villagers set Durgashankar’s house on fire and later staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
Being informed about the matter, police rushed to the spot, seized the body and arrested the accused.
