Khurda: The district administration and SUM Hospital have signed an MoU to open two COVID Care Centres in Jatni.
As per the MoU, the centres will be opened at Jamujhari open-air jail and ITI College in Khudupur of Jatni. The district administration and necessary infrastructure for the SUM Hospital to run the centres.
The SUM Hospital, which will be paid Rs 1,000 per bed, will provide doctors, nurses, medicines, and food to look after the patients.
While Jamujhari care centre will have 500 beds, Khudupur will have 300 beds. The MoU was signed by Khurda collector Sitanshu Rout and representative of SUM Hospital on Monday.
The persons having mild symptoms of COVID-19 will be accommodated in the centres while the critical cases will be referred to COVID Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
