Gajapati: Two labourers were crushed to death under a huge boulder during stone blasting at Bandhaguda quarry under Mohana police limits in Odisha’s Gajapati district.
The deceased have been identified as Narayan Nahak and Bishnu Nahak of Jharedi village in Ganjam district.
According to sources, they got trapped under a huge stone which rolled down during the blasting while they were standing near the quarry on Friday evening. A team of firefighters has launched an operation to retrieve the bodies still trapped at the site.
Meanwhile, police have launched a probe into the incident.
