According to a local resident, a gang of six dacoits were attempting to enter into a house in the village posing as salesmen. Some villagers, however, managed to catch hold of the duo while they were attempting to loot valuables from the house. The looters were thrashed black and blue and later handed over to the police.
However, four members of the dacoit gang managed to flee the spot.
“The accused are being interrogated. We are trying to nab other members of the gang”, a police officer said.
