Bhubaneswar: The two-day annual flower exhibition was a treat for lovers of fauna who flocked to Ekamrakanan here.
Flower section, flower arrangements, floral displays, Bonsai, Rangoli, vegetable carving, plant bazaar, nurseries and exhibition stalls have been attracting visitors.
The exhibition being organised by Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) and Plant Lovers’ Association (PLA) with the support of Nalco and the Directorate of Horticulture, was inaugurated by Forest and Environment Minister Bijayshree Routray on Saturday.
A Modern Tissue Culture Laboratory on the premises of RPRC was also dedicated to the farmers of Odisha.
A total of 26 nurseries have put up ornamental plants for sale. This year, a ‘Bonsai’ section has been introduced and more than 100 miniature plants are on display.
The flower varieties include, dahlia, zinnia, rose, marigold, salvia, gladioli, calendula, floribunda and many more.
