Bhubaneswar: Two days after effecting a minor reshuffle in the IPS cadre, the Odisha Government on Monday modified postings of two SPs.
CID-Crime Branch SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas, an officer of 2013-batch, has been transferred and posted as SP in Khurda instead of Nayagarh. On Saturday, the government had transferred and posted several officers, changing SPs in 10 districts amid growing concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in Odisha after the mob lynching of a GRP constable at Balianta, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, on May 7. The changes come shortly after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the state’s law and order situation, emphasising the need for efficient, alert, and accountable policing to support development and ensure public safety.
