Mayurbhanj/Keonjhar: Two persons were killed and 13 others injured in two separate road mishaps in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts.
In the first incident, two persons were killed after an ambulance hit their bike near Karanjia Square on the Baripada-Udala road in Mayurbhanj on Tuesday night.
The dead persons have been identified as Hrushikesha Saragharia and Bisikeshan Prusti, residents of Uthaninuagaon village.
Sources said the mishap took place when they were on their way home from their shop on a motorcycle.
Hrushikesha died on the spot and Bisikeshan was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
In another incident, 13 persons were injured after the bus they were travelling in overturned near Akula Malanda at Telkoi in Keonjhar on Wednesday.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and sent the injured persons to the district headquarters hospital.
Sources said the driver of the bus, carrying around 40 passengers, lost control of the vehicle, following which, the vehicle overturned.
