Two Drunk Women Create Ruckus At Different Locations In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A woman from Nepal, allegedly intoxicated, created ruckus near Kalarahanga chowk in the Odisha capital on Wednesday.

On receiving information, HER team of Commissionerate police rushed to the location and attempted to rescue her. However, she resisted the police and allegedly bit a cop as well, said sources.

She also hugged a dead body at Capital Hospital where she was taken for medical examination, sources added. It took nearly three hours for the police to escort the woman back to her rented house.

DCP Pinak Mishra said, “Receiving information about the women creating chaos on the road at night, our team who are working on women’s protection immediately reached there. They took her to the hospital and gave her proper first aid.”

In a separate incident on Wednesday, an intoxicated woman, arrived at the Khandagiri police station seeking assistance to locate a relative. However, on reaching the police station, she began abusing the officers.

The woman tried to slap a male police officer during the altercation, however, the police maintained restraint. She was eventually escorted home by a female officer, said sources.
